What is a Commodity?
In the form you will be asked how many commodities are in the parcel. What this means is "how many different type of items are there?". For example...
- If you have a parcel with 10 different t-shirts, that would be 1 commodity.
- If you had a parcel with 10 hockey cards, 5 books and 1 poster, that parcel would have 3 different commodities.
- If the parcel had car parts, which were 2 alternators and a starter, that would be 2 commodities.

To find HS codes, here is an excellent tool that uses a bit of AI to help you classify your goods. Click Here
Classifying HS goods is a service that a traditional customs broker could charge $20 for. If you are able to provide the HS code, that will help keep our fees down. | What is Country of Origin?
Put simply, the Country of Origin is where the product was made. This is not to be confused with where the product was shipped from. When you receive the item, if the product labeling indicates a different country of origin than you entered on the request form, let us know within 5 days and we can adjust the paperwork and duties (if applicable) accordingly. |
